a pleasure-hunting monkey.

“The World is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page,”
-St. Augustine

Edededan belongs to Edna Tarigan,  a Jakarta-based pleasure hunter a.k.a a Jakarta-based travel writer working as a journalist on daily life.

I began my professional carrier as a journalist since 2010 in Jakarta, lived in Bali from 2014 to 2015, then moved back to Jakarta to chase my dreams. Here my LinkedIn to see more about my professional background.

Edna in Hebrew means ‘pleasure’. Some friends call me Ed, Edna and the others call me Edan which means ‘crazy’ in Indonesian.

I write anything related to traveling, culinary, nature, culture and other tourism attraction especially in Indonesia.

Besides this blog, I wrote for several medias and publications, including:

  • The Jakarta Post Travel,
  • The Jakarta Post,
  • Bali Buzz by The Jakarta Post,
  • Bali & Beyond magazine,
  • Jakarta Java Kini (JJK) magazine,
  • Panduan ke Kanto Utara & Tohoku Selatan  (a guide book to North Kanto & South Tohoku area in Japan published by Regent Media Singapore in cooperation with Japan National Tourism Organization/JNTO)

I have to admit that Bali is a never ending attractive paradise. But Indonesia is not only Bali.

Ars longa, vita brevis.

There's a small pier at the entrance of Labuan Cermin. @prawitaindah and I did a short walk to the pier and found this beauty spot. Anyway, as Labuan Cermin has two layers of water, can you guess the taste of the water here? Is it salty or fresh water? Good morning! Greetings from Labuan Cermin! Writing a post about this place and our trip 3 months ago makes me miss the lake even more.
Please have a look at the article on edededan.com for the story and some tips regarding the trip to Labuan Cermin lake.
Have a nice day!
