This year’s birthday trip we had was around Lombok island, West Nusa Tenggara. Gili Meno and the northern side of Lombok were the two regions we visited.
Just like my trip to Bali on March and Biduk-biduk on August, I brought my pocket analog camera with me. Some photographs from Bali trip taken by Olympus mju ii with Kodak Gold 200 has been published on this blog, while the photographs from Biduk-biduk trip using the analog camera got totally failed.
It was my fourth time to visit Lombok. I guess I deeply in love to the island more than I realized. I, once again, visited Malimbu Hill and Villa Hantu (Ghost Villa) in Senggigi area. Yet, the trip to Gili Meno was my first time. Gili Meno is renown as the least crowded island compared to other popular Gili islands; Gili Trawangan and Gili Air.
It was also my second time of visiting Hotel Tugu Lombok and Sire Beach right in front of the hotel, and not to forget our short sunrise trip held by Hotel Tugu Lombok around. Lucky me, I got both the view of Mount Rinjani of Lombok and Mount Agung of Bali at the same time in one place.
Two waterfalls, Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep, were the sudden destinations we decided to visit considering we stayed at the northwest part of Lombok. I took few photos using analog camera from the short trekking to the falls.

Taking the photographs with Olympus mju ii, I brought two 35mm film rolls to this trip. They are Fujifilm Superia Premium 400 and Kodak Gold 200. I have no doubt to the camera, as it is very easy to use, compact, and gives me the good photographs through its sharp lens.
I always curious to use Fujifilm to capture the nature, especially the beach and the ocean as the object.
I like almost every frames I took using this film. It is indeed one of the most a versatile film I have ever used. I got the best tone for the landscape and portrait objects. Moreover, this film gives the light green effect to the tone at the same time with a little-bit-dark blue.
I don’t know what was happened to my Superia Premium 400 film. It got some red light leak at some frames, but I totally don’t mind with it.
I took the photographs at Malimbu Hill, Villa Hantu and Gili Meno area using this film.

Sharp silhouette of the leaves and the sunrise with Mount Rinjani view.
As I used Kodak Gold 200 before for taking photo around the beach, I used it again during this trip. I can say that it is the best film I can use for a analog photo shoot at the beach.
I took the photos during sunset time and after sunrise moment from the boat. So, it is perfectly showing the best tone of the sun the human skin under the sun light.
Moreover, Kodak Gold 200 is perfectly captured the silhouette of Mount Rinjani and the reflection from the ocean.
Golden sunset I got from Kodak Gold 200.
